Our 2013 program will operate from July 1 – August 23 (with the exception of Independence Day). Registration forms are available for download on the left.

This year, our summer programs will be held in two locations:

  • Our main site, the Community Church of Jackson Heights, located at 81-10 35th Avenue in Jackson Heights.
  • Public School 69, located at 77-02 37th Avenue in Jackson Heights.

Both sites offer a large facility with ample outdoor space and attractive classrooms.

Our summer theme, "Who Will You Be?", brings the academic content to life with fun events, special visitors, and field trips. Our K-8th grade classroom ratio of 10 students to 1 teacher ensures that your child will learn in a safe environment that encourages growth.

    Accelerated Academic Achievement Classes:
     9:00am – 12:00pm

    Monday through Friday

The goal of the morning session at 82nd Street Academics is for students to be successful in the upcoming school year through challenging academic activities that will propel them to the head of the class! Children work with trained group leaders to practice math and language arts. Lesson plans are based on the New York State Learning Standards and the Common Core Standards. We give homework every day so students can practice their newly-learned skills. Monthly progress reports keep you up to date with your child's development. Additionally, this year we have added laptops for every student in the classroom to be used several times a week to enhance each student's learning experience through technological interactivity.  For parents, group leaders are available throughout the summer to discuss your child's learning. Students participate in inter-class academic competitions that are based on this year's summer theme, "Who Will You Be?" Students will be taking trips and special visitors will be featured on-site to complement learning. The program ends with a special ceremony starring your children!
